Located amidst the  Titiwangsa Range, high above the sweltering plains of Peninsular Malaysia, Cameron Highlands offers a salubrious climate with daily temperatures averaging between 17 to 23 degrees Celsius. Lavender Garden

Opened in 2013, Lavender Garden is Cameron Highland’s newest attraction and is located just before the town of Tringkap when travelling from Simpang Pulai. It is a floral themed park with cemented terraced hill slopes where one may look upon rows and rows of flowers ascending up to the very top, offering a dazzle of colours for visitors to admire and photograph.

One should not have too high expectations because the lavender flowers aren’t as plentiful as one may expect with artificial lavender scent permeating the air at the entrance but a few live lavender plants can be seen planted in a large plot at the centre of this park.

There are also many other species of flowers grown here such as gerberas, camellias, roses, peonies and yellow daisies.

The Mossy Forest

Cameron Highlands is blessed with the most amazing natural surroundings in the form of its mossy forests. This should actually be the main reason for its touristic appeal and top on the natural attraction list. Other names for these forests are Cloud Forests, Elfin Forests, or Upper Montane Forests because of the fact that they sit in the middle of the clouds at a height of more than 1500m above sea level. The Mossy Forest of Cameron Highlands is located at the ridge of the 2032 metre-high Mount Brinchang, the highest mountain in Cameron Highlands where it is constantly shrouded by mist and lower clouds with temperatures ranging between 10 to 18 degrees Celsius. Here, the view of the hills and valleys below and the plains at the distance are magnificent and sunrises and sunsets are amazing.

Blueberry Earth House

Blueberry Earthouse is a farm in Kea Farm growing strawberries, blueberries and a limited selection of vegetables. Located off the main road at Kea Farm (along the access route to Sungai Palas Tea Plantation and Mossy Forest), it can be reached from a left junction shortly after passing Butterfly Garden towards Tringkap. While blueberries are a novel attraction at the farm, its most strinking feature is a large mud house that houses a cafe serving Penang Peranakan cuisine, with striking views of the valley from an adjoining balcony deck. The mud house also has a 'living' roof draped with grass and small flowering shrubs. Open daily, strawberry picking is also available for visitors.
